Release Notes for EPS 3.0 March 2013

An updated version of ePermitting is now active. This update (3.0) includes:

  1. The addition of supplement functionality.

A Supplement is needed when, after a permit is issued, any changes need to be made to the permit. There are four types of supplements:

Applicant Team Members, Agents for the Applicant Team and Receivers acting on behalf of an Applicant can create supplement applications, which can be submitted to PennDOT just like the original permit application.

The PennDOT review process for supplement applications is the same as for permit applications.

Now utility customers with Billing Accounts for EPS will be invoiced for supplement applications along with their permit applications.

Quick Search capabilities have changed in that users can now search by:

Advanced Search capabilities have changed in that users can now search for either permit applications or supplement applications. Users will also now be able to search for permits using Expiration, Close-Out, and Physical Work Completion date criteria.

When creating a new application, the e-mail address, phone, and fax number will auto-populate based on the logged-in user, instead of based on the Business Partner ID Administrator.

The following changes have been made to the PATA Documentation attachments functionality:

  1. Changes to Reviewer Abilities Applies only to internal PennDOT users

A Reviewer who has marked their review as being complete can now be reassigned to the application should that Reviewer need to make changes to their review. For example, a Level 2 Reviewer can complete their review and the Level 1 Reviewer can then assign the application to the same Level 2 Reviewer again, creating an additional row on the Review Team page.

Application Notes are now copied over to the new cycle upon resubmission by the Applicant. Also, the ’Notes button has been removed from the toolbar.

PennDOT users with access to ePermitting reports now have two new reports specific to supplements.

  1. Changes to Reviewer and Responder Comments Applies only to internal PennDOT users

The process of selecting and saving Reviewer and Responder comments has changed. All free form text comments have been removed from the common selection page and replaced by new Custom Comments functionality.

  1. Changes to Data Corrector Abilities Applies only to internal PennDOT users

A user with the Data Corrector role can now edit the Application Details section of an application in all cycles until the permit is issued. This includes: Municipality, Permit Sub-Type, Permit use, and Permit Sub-Use.

  1. Change to Customer Account Contact Details Applies only to internal PennDOT users

The Customer Contact e-Mail ID field on the Customer Account Contact Details screen will now allow 80 characters, instead of 40.
